We are very proud to announce that the Cal Poly Field Hockey team has not only taken first place in the WCFHC this year with a 15-0 record, but continued on undefeated to take first place at the NFHCA Nationals Tournament and finish off their perfect season 21-0! Welcome to the home of CPFH.
We are a division of the Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Collegiate Sports Program. As members of the Western Collegiate Field Hockey Conference, we compete against other club teams in California, including UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, CSU Chico, Santa Clara University, USC, UC San Diego, and Claremont College.
The WCFHC was formed with the help of Field Hockey West (part of the United States Field Hockey Association) for collegiate club field hockey teams in California. The goal of the league is to increase the level of play of field hockey in California, in hopes of creating more NCAA teams on the West Coast.
Cal Poly Field Hockey took first place in the WCFHC (Western Collegiate Field Hockey Conference) for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010! We also placed 2nd in the WCFHC in 2007 and 2009, 1st Place at California Cup in Moorpark, CA in 2008, 2nd place at California Cup in 2009, and 3rd place in the Phoenix Scorpions Cactus Classic Tournament in 2009. In 2010, CPFH took first place in NFHCA Nationals. We have a great tradition of skilled players from all over the country. We continue to excel and enjoy playing field hockey whenever possible.
